How It Works
You get to choose what group lessons you do to include flatwork, SJ and XC. Groups start at 30cm x-poles and go up to 1m (there is no flatwork only option and all lessons are in groups of 5 max). The beautiful farm has grass roped arenas with a full set of Showjumps, WH jumps and a large array of XC jumps including a mini course.
You get 2 group lessons and hacking time each day. The hacking is vast and around the stunning sandy commons and lakes of Hankley and Frensham.
You camp in your own tent or lorry/trailer in a huge field that is used by the Pony Club for their camps over the summer. Everything on site is hired in with temporary stabling, loos and showers, big fridge and a large marquee for cooking, eating, drinking and socialising in. These camps are self catering and there is no hook up. So it really is Pony Club style fun and back to basics with both 4 and 2 legged friends.
You must be confident in big open spaces with other horses riding around you in different lessons. There will be a couple of group dinner nights (on the Tuesday and Friday) but other than that you are left to your own devices to enjoy the camp – there won’t be a fully mapped out structure to it.
